Banned from Amazon!
Our relationship with Amazon.com has been less than palatable. Our Scary Marxist Clown Mask was originally sold exclusively on Amazon.com through their Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program. The mask went on sale in September 2009 in advance of Halloween. On October 27, after weeks of sales and just days before Halloween, our mask was abruptly de-listed without warning. Links to the page just suddenly stopped working. It took several days of back and forth emails with Amazon tech support before we could ascertain the reason for our mysterious de-listing: The Scary Marxist Clown Mask was deemed to be "inappropriate" for Amazon.com.
We found this classification to be rather puzzling, considering all the other politically-charged items available on Amazon, including pictures of George W. Bush depicted as Hitler, Bush labeled as mentally handicapped, and even images of Bush and Dick Cheney engaged in acts of gay sex.
One might conclude that the powers-that-be at Amazon have a bit of a left-leaning bias. Keep this in mind the next time you're considering a purchase at Amazon.com.
